As Prince William and Kate celebrated their one-year
anniversary yesterday, I reminisced about the elaborate nuptials of the Duke
and Duchess of Cambridge, in a wedding watched by millions around the world.Although I was sadly not invited to their
wedding anniversary celebration (how rude), I did stumble upon an amazing
British fascinator hat while I was in Vegas. So, of course I had to purchase this unique gem, just in case I am invited
to a Royal Event in the near future.J
Even though I can’t pull off a hat quite like Kate can, I
enjoyed imagining what I would wear to a Royal party…
My week was spent in Las Vegas for work and I most certainly
packed too many pairs of shoes.Since I
knew there would be a lot of standing and walking, I tried my best to pick
shoes which were both comfortable and chic.
Here is what I wore this week…
What: Sperry Top-Sider Boat Shoes Where:Flight to Vegas
What:Gianni Bini Leopard Pumps
Where:Out to dinner
What:Vince Camuto Peeptoe Heels Where:Out to dinner
There is really nothing more fitting for spring than
nautical stripes, so the last day of the Sharing
My SoleStripe Week is all about chic and timeless “sailor”
stripes.Nautical stripes are so graphic
and playful, they really require few accessories, simply a spring bag and
wedges or sandals.
Day 5: Nautical sundress – Perfect for the beach, pool or
outdoor summer party!
More stripes I’m loving right now…
I’ve had so much fun this week posting my favorite striped
pieces!Perhaps next time will be Polka
Dot Week?! What do YOU want to see?
I am loving this asymmetrical stripe sheath dress and how
the different stripes and colors make a graphically chic statement. This dress really requires few accessories,
so I simply paired it with a big cuff and nude pumps.
Day 4: Stripe Sheath Dress – Perfect for a day at the office
or cocktail party!
Stripes on stripes continues with this striped t-shirt and
wide striped infinity scarf.I just recently
purchased these vibrant yellowish-green denim pants from Ann Taylor and love
them! The bright tone of the pants pairs
wonderfully with navy.
Day 3: Navy t-shirt and striped scarf with colored denim - Perfect
for a fun weekend outfit or casual Friday at the office!
The Sharing My SoleStripe Week continues with this little orange outfit.Who says you can’t wear stripes on stripes? As long as the colors are not extreme contrasts, stripes can be paired together!Juxtapose a simple striped t-shirt with a fun striped scarf for an easy and fashionable update!
Day 2: Orange skirt with striped T and scarf – Great for the office or dinner and drinks!
Inspired by the What I Wore “Stripes Challenge”, I was motivated to create cute, striped and nautical outfits of my own!So, I bring you the Sharing My SoleStripe Week!I’ll be posting a stripe themed look each day this week and sharing my stripe inspired favorites.
Day 1: Striped Maxi Dress – Perfect for the beach, summer months and outdoor cocktails!
My week was a busy one with plenty of meetings and dinner events. The weather was a little all over the place, but I tried to wear as many peeptoe shoes as I could. Here’s a look at my daily shoes from the past week…
Lemon Drops, Lemonade, Lemon Meringue…All a little zesty, reminiscent of summer and deliciously yellow!Yellow is such a fun and wonderful color for the spring and summer months and is complementary on nearly all skin tones.Pair yellow pieces with white, navy blue or grey.Keep accessories to a minimum since the color is vibrant enough to stand alone. And have fun with it!After all, yellow just makes people smile!J
I have never been a big fan of glitter.Other than putting a little on my eyes for high school football games (fashion gods please forgive me), I have never been into excessive glitter. However, once again inspired by Pinterest, I was drawn to this adorable nail idea with just a touch of glitz. So of course I had to try it for myself!I mixed together two blue polishes to create my own shade and put some big glitter flakes on my ring fingers.Future brides – Love this for a wedding, even for toes!Something blue and something shiny.J
