Makeover Time!

Sometimes, you just need a make-over.  Whether it’s a drastic hair chop, a wardrobe refresh or full blown “I feel like a new person” overhaul.  Well, it’s time for a Sharing My Sole make-over!  I am excited to announce that Sharing My Sole is getting a new look and a new home!  More information to come this week, but don’t worry, even if you come back here I’ll just redirect you to the new site.  J

For more details, follow along on Facebook!

Hope the Sharing My Sole make-over inspires a mini make-over of your own (even if it’s just changing your nail color!)

Eye Spy

Spring is the perfect time to experiment with different make-up shades and new looks.  All the beauty brands have their spring color palettes out and I have been inspired to try new eye catching looks.

Turquoise Shadow is perfectly soft yet fun for spring, so I tried it lightly rimmed around my eyes.  The color goes great with pale pink lips and lots of mascara.

Plum Shadow – Plum shadow can be both edgy and soft, a great alternative to black liner which can look harsh.  I recently purchased a dark purple eye liner and love how it makes my hazel-green eyes pop!

Chameleon

After launching last fall, Chanel’s Peridot Nail Lacquer was an instant hit.  I kept reading about this famous shade in all of my favorite fashion magazines, so I finally decided to have a “mini-splurge” and buy a bottle for myself.  The best way to describe this shade – A mood ring in a bottle.  I was trying to figure out what color it actually is…  Gold?  Green?  Teal?!  The shade changes depending on the light with such a dynamic shimmer and iridescent effect.  Basically, I can’t stop staring at my fingers.  J

Girls Night

What girl doesn’t love a night out with her friends?  That’s what inspired me to recreate this outfit from the May issue of InStyle – Thinking of cocktails and dancing with my best friends!  A plain t-shirt and jeans can be easily dressed up with a great blazer, polished accessories and killer heels.  The look is perfectly cool, yet not too formal or overdone.  Cheers!

Lady in Red

Although it is not officially summer yet, the recent warm weather has inspired me to pull out my lighter, summery pieces.  The May issue of InStyle reminded me of a red print maxi dress that I had shoved in the back of my closet during the colder months.  I pulled it out and paired it with flat sandals and an earthy clutch for that effortless sundress look.
